Class H8b was happy to join a project on American literature. The subject was Jack London’s world famous „The Call of the Wild“. After reading the special edition book adapted for the English level of the 8th grade, we watched the movie to compare different aspects. In the 1900s a lot of people go to America to find gold and become rich. What’s why a lot of dog-owners miss their dogs. The animals are stolen from their homes and are needed to help the women and men to find gold. They need strong, big and powerful dogs to pull the sledges. So, the dog Buck was stolen to pull the sledges and needs to survive in the future. He learns fast and is good as a lead dog. But to become one of the most powerful dogs, he finds dangerous enemies. Can he survive them, or will he die or will he find love …? The answer to that question you’ll find in that book.
